FILMMAKERS jenny deller: writer/director/producer > statement > work Jenny got her start as a director in the DIY arts scene in Portland, Oregon, where her studies in acting, writing, and directing culminated in a one-woman show she wrote and performed based on jazz singer Anita O'Day. Soon after, her 16mm burlesque short, The Interview, screened at both the Egg Fest and Open Cine in New York. Before leaving the Northwest, she wrote and directed The 7Up View, a video valentine to Portland's neon lights. Jenny went on to study acting at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, and soon moved to New York where her acting training ran the gamut from pantomime to Meisner. Her New York credits include a Russian firebrand on Law & Order, Juliet in Romeo & Juliet, and cover girl for Philip Morris' Quit Assist campaign. During her five years in New York, she also produced and directed two more shorts, including a video adaptation of Marguerite Duras' Savannah Bay, and wrote numerous short stories, a feature-length screenplay, and monologues for the stage based on Barbara Sonneborn's documentary Regret to Inform. In 2004, Jenny moved to Philadelphia to live with her partner and develop her first feature. She is the recipient of grants from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the National Endowment for the Humanities and has published writing in Cineaste and Plazm magazines. She brings her knowledge of internet marketing to the production from her work as a freelance copywriter for clients such as Anthropologie.com and Drew University Magazine. |

kristin fairweather: producer Kristin Fairweather was recently selected to represent Future Weather at the Los Angeles Film Festival’s highly competitive Fast Track financing market, where she took meetings with film industry leaders including Magnolia, Focus Features, Mandalay Pictures, and Fox Searchlight. Kristin has worked in local politics and public finance in Philadelphia for the past ten years, managing public relations campaigns as well as large field efforts for local politicians – an experience that translated well to film production. Before going to work at both local and state levels in public finance and elective politics, she received her Masters in Government Administration from the University of Pennsylvania. In 2007, Fairweather launched the Philadelphia franchise of Metropolitan Moms, a service that organizes trips and cultural activities for moms and babies. As a producer, her entrepreneurial savvy has aided in development and marketing for Future Weather and will play a crucial role in managing pre-production. She was instrumental in producing Save the Future, Deller's companion-short to Future Weather for the Netflix FIND Your Voice Film Competition. Kristin was selected to participate in the 2009 FIND Producers Lab. |

An Ohio native, Zak began his career in New York after studying photography at Arizona State University. The cinematographer's latest narrative feature Obselidia took home the Alfred P. Sloan award, and also premiered at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival in the Dramatic Film Competition where it won the Excellence in Cinematography award for his work. Other film work includes A Piece of America (Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival) and Noah Buschel's You’re Gonna Feel Funny After (Charlotte Film Festival, Zero Film Festival). Aside from commercial work for clients such as Bravo TV, Kraft, Sony Ericsson, and American Express, Zak has also shot a number of music videos for bands including Passion Pit, Mute Math, Flying Lotus, and Woodhands (his video for “I Wasn’t Made For Fighting” was an official selection of Slamdance 2009 and The 49th Annual Krakow Film Festival). Zak has just concluded principal photography on the narrative feature I’m Not Me (imnotmethemovie.com), a film which will mark his debut as a writer and director |

gino fortebuono: production designer Gino began his film career as a set dresser on Mark Webber's (Broken Flowers, The Memory Thief) directorial debut Explicit Ills and has since seen a progression through various Art Department roles on feature length, short form, and commercial projects. In the fall of 2008 Gino had the privilege of collaborating with Writer/Director Jeremy Engle in designing Mosquito, starring Alejandro Polanco (Chop Shop). Mosquito has since won the 2010 Spirit of Slamdance Award and continues to make it's rounds on the festival circuit. In the summer of 2009 Gino was the Production Designer for Mayor Cupcake, starring Lea Thompson (Back to the Future, Jaws 3-D) and Judd Nelson (The Breakfast Club). Future Weather is Gino's fourth feature length design piece. |

shelby siegel: editor Shelby Siegel has been editing in New York for over ten years and has worked with some of the industry’s top directors: Todd Haynes (Velvet Goldmine), Todd Solondz (Happiness), Paul Schrader (Forever Mine), Steven Shainberg (Fur), Paul Haggis (In the Valley of Elah), Gary Hustwit (Helvetica), Mike Nichols (Charlie Wilson’s War) and with Ang Lee on his Oscar winning films, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Brokeback Mountain. In addition, Shelby spent two years working on the critically acclaimed HBO series The Wire. In 2010 Shelby was selected to attend the Sundance Directors Lab as an editor.
