ECO-FILM
As our film raises important issues about global warming, we want our production efforts to reflect those concerns. However, the main challenge remains that we are an independent production and our budget is only so big. That is why we have resolved to create the most environmentally-conscious production we can considering our resources. We’re accomplishing this with four main objectives: conserve energy, reduce emissions, renew materials, and buy local whenever possible. Hopefully these guidelines will help us to follow the Code of Best Practices in our efforts toward a sustainable production. And if this green experiment is a success, keep an eye out for Green-Behind-the-Scenes, a guide we hope to create for filmmakers about how to make sustainable production choices.

In 1939, three brothers immigrated to Philadelphia from Italy. With nothing more than fifth-grade educations and grand ambitions, they opened Di Bruno Bros. at 930 S. Ninth Street, in the heart of today’s Italian Market in South Philadelphia. They introduced an extensive selection of imported and domestic cheeses, gourmet meats, olive oils and other specialty items to Philadelphia and coupled it all with a reputation of excellent quality, value and customer service. The rest, as they say, is history. |
